Hundreds of Christmas decorations are on display in a house near Waymart that would make Santa Claus himself glow with Christmas joy.
WAYMART, Pennsylvania – Santas, snowmen, reindeer and more line the courtyard of the Antidormi home near Waymart.
“Probably 700 or so or maybe more, it’s hard to count. You count to 100 and then you’re like what,” Nick said.
Nick Antidormi might as well be Saint Nick himself – always in the Christmas spirit. For the past seven years, Nick has meticulously placed every decoration on the front and back of the house for visitors to come and enjoy.
“I started lighting the house in September and I’m still working on a few things to install and it takes months and months. It’s worth it,” Nick said.
Nick says he first discovered his love for blow molding decorations after fixing his first, a Santa Claus, with his aunt. She has since died, and Nick says he sold it years ago to buy other decorations, but then a Christmas miracle happened.
âSomeone looked at the bottom and saw my address and they gave it back to me. That was the one that my aunt and me painted, and it’s still here. It was amazing.”
Nick has amassed so many Christmas decorations that he and his family had to build an extra room to store and fix them.
âI usually do a lot of airbrushing after work to spruce it up because I hate seeing orange Santa Clauses. That makes me so angry. “
Nick says finding new decorations and mending them can be a year-round chore, but it’s his love for Christmas and sharing it with others that reminds him why he does it every year.
“This is something that this area really needs because there isn’t much here other than farms. It’s something that will bring your children there, make new memories and have fun.”
They even have warm cookies and hot chocolate for visitors.
Nick says he still has some work to do on this exhibition but will be ready to welcome visitors from Friday night.
