LANSING, Michigan — The Michigan Manufacturers Association recently recognized state senator Ken Horn as the association’s 2022 Legislator of the Year.
“Manufacturing remains the backbone of our economy. It put Michigan on the map and provides jobs for thousands of our hardest working residents,” said Horn, R-Frankenmuth. “My top priorities have always been preserving jobs here in Michigan and growing our economy, and the Michigan Manufacturing Association has been a strong partner throughout my time at Lansing.
“I am delighted with this honor. Manufacturing has played a vital role in our state’s history, and I have no doubts it will prove just as important to Michigan’s future.”
Horn received the award for his work- and craft-friendly commitment as a legislator. The senator serves as chair of the Senate Small Business and Economic Development Committee and has sponsored or worked on a number of policies aimed at helping the state’s economy grow, educating Michigan workers, and making Michigan a leader in manufacturing to consolidate.
Horn was recognized by MMA officials and other state and local leaders during the association’s Sept. 14 parliamentary reception.
