The San Juan Development Association announced that microloan funding will continue to be available to help businesses in San Juan County, Colorado, and 20% of the approved loan amount will be given as a grant based on funding from the Community Foundation for Southwest Colorado.
The SJDA received $ 5,000 to offset microloan amounts with non-repayable grants.
These grant funds were provided through the Community Foundation’s continued commitment to economic and environmental recovery in northern La Plata and San Juan counties after the 416 fire in 2018.
The San Juan Development Association’s loan program, which began nearly 20 years ago, provides San Juan County-based companies with capital to expand, relocate, and start-up, which in turn creates and maintains jobs and brings new prosperity to San Juan County.
There are loans available from $ 500 to over $ 7,500 for equipment, inventory, working capital, indoor and outdoor renovations, energy efficiency measures, and other capital goods, or training / education.
