BIÑAN CITY, Laguna – As a token of appreciation for their hard work, the local government distribution team received a sweet surprise from a local bakery.

On Monday (August 24), bakery owner Anne Christine Galas made up a 20 cm thick, moist chocolate cake with white icing and four candies worth 1,000 pence and took it to Radyo Biñan 87.9 station, where Mayor Arman Dimaguila was running a public service program hosted.

“I really appreciate that even we who live in executive villages have already received our Ayuda (cash) twice. I just felt the equality among the Biñanenses because everyone is affected, rich or poor, ”Galas told the Manila Bulletin.

“We’re blessed that they made sure we were safe, so they distributed it door-to-door.”

During the show, which was streamed live on Facebook, Dimaguila pulled up the candy decoration and revealed a pull-up message that read, “Maraming Salamat City of Biñan, Ayuda is Real”.

The city government had previously introduced door-to-door distribution of the financial aid in April when the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) was introduced in Laguna. Galas then also sent the team a cake to show their appreciation.
