Cast Stone Molding has become increasingly popular for use in many architectural applications. A&M offers exterior moldings manufactured of several
different materials for specific applications. Following are descriptions and examples of our Cast Stone Molding and our Eurocast Foam Molding.
A&M´s Cast Stone Molding may be used as exterior cornice molding or as trim
molding for windows, doors, jambs and sills. These beautiful pieces have the look of traditional carved stone,
but are formed from modern lightweight building materials. Cast Stone Molding is available in many shapes and sizes as well as
radii and is quite dramatic when used to frame an arched entryway. Each piece of Cast Stone Molding is reinforced with galvanized
metal lath and anchors may be inserted during casting for ease of installation. If color is desired, it is added at the time of
casting and is integral to the piece. The overall weight of each piece may be reduced by 20% with the addition glass fibers.
The maximum length of each piece is six feet. In addition to the aesthetic qualities of our Cast Stone Molding, it also provides
superb strength and weathers very well. It is a material for the architect/designer interested in creating distinctive and enduring architecture.
A&M´s colored cast stone molding was used on this commercial building at 23 Corporate Plaza, Newport Beach, California
in 1989 and bears witness today to the enduring qualities of our cast stone.
Doorways become more prominent when framed with A&M´s Cast Stone Molding.
The symmetrical beauty of a bow window is magnified by the addition of A&M´s Cast Stone Molding.
A&M´s Eurocast Foam Molding is manufactured over a polystyrene foam shape. Eurocast Foam Molding is suitable where weight is a
structural issue or when installation costs must be kept to a minimum. This molding may be used as exterior trim around windows and doors that are protected
by an eave or over-hang. We begin with the foam molding shape and apply a layer of our exclusive Eurocast to the foam shape by an extrusion method. Our Eurocast
material is cementitious in nature and comes in a standard gray color which may be painted or stained. Eurocast Foam Molding is also available in colors at an
additional cost. While this product is lighter in weight and less expensive than our Cast Stone Molding, the aesthetics provided by the two products are similar.
A&M offers fourteen standard shapes and custom shapes are available for orders of 200 feet or more.
The use of A&M´s Eurocast Foam Molding as window and door trim adds character and beauty to this sprawling complex.
